Chapter 224 Elgin

Sometimes, a group of our members will get together and plan a ride down into the States. It might be to Daytona, or Myrtle Beach or whatever. Since June 1st 2009, new border crossing requirements were established for Canadians crossing in cars or motorcycles. You can find more about these requirements below.

Canadian Citizens - Beginning June 1, 2009

• Canadian citizens will need to present a single document that complies with the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI). See www.getyouhome.gov for more information.
• US-VISIT biometric procedures may apply to some Canadian citizens. Find out if US-VISIT applies to you.
